Beef

Our 300 beef are British-Blue or Angus crosses from our holstein dairy herd. At 12 weeks old, they move to our specially built beef unit where they are fed on home grown feed (maize and grass silage) and spend 6 months of 'summer' out at grass.

Our beef is supplied to Marks & Spencer, reflecting the quality of the animals, their welfare and the sustainability of our beef. We are proud of the standards our beef are achieving, as dairy crosses being compared to dedicated beef breeds, as beef from a dairy herd is significantly less greenhouse gas intensive.

All of the farmyard manure is recycled into the anaerobic digestion plant.
