Dairy

Based in the hills above Eynsford in Kent, we've been milking holstein cows for over 50 years, with a milking herd of 380 producing over 4 million litres of milk a year.

Thanks to a brilliant Dairy Manager our pregnancy rate of 34.7 reflects the excellent health of the herd.

The cows have access to the surrounding grass banks, and over 70% of their feed is homegrown including maize, grass, lucerne, beans and straw fed as a TMR. We strive to maximise this percentage for sustainability, to reduce costs and have quality control over the diet.

The calves are a mix of approximately 120 sexed semen heifers, 160 british blue cross and 120 angus calves.

All of the slurry, the farmyard manure and spoiled feed is fed into the anaerobic digestion plant, helping the dairy farm to greatly reduce it's carbon footprint.

  • Cow Manager for monitoring cow health and fertility

  • CowConnect for feeding accuracy

  • Calf Expert milk machines for automated milk feeds for the calves

  • Uniform for management
