In 2012 we installed a biomass boiler to heat the companies offices, a separate sublet office block, the local football club and golf club as well as a pair of rented cottages.

We have over 80kW of photovoltaic panels on shed roofs.

In 2019 we built an anaerobic digestion plant. We sized it to take all of the dairy and beef waste and to give a profitable market for our break crops. It produces around 400m3/hour of biomethane into the gas grid and 500kW of electricity. The waste material, digestate, is an organic fertiliser that has greatly reduced our organic fertiliser usage across the farm.
